Hawstead Place Lakes are a series of terraced coarse fishing lakes dating back to medieval times and are stocked with common and mirror Carp weighing between 5lb and 33lbs, Perch up to specimen weight, small Carp, Roach and Bream, Tench and Crucian Carp.

The fishing is available in the two upper lakes totalling 3.5 acres of water. They consist of a specimen Carp lake which has been stocked with Carp since 1980’s and additionally stocked with silver fish and tench and a recently cleaned out spring fed lake stocked with Tench and Crucian Carp.

The fishing lakes are situated in a peaceful, quiet, ancient parkland setting surrounded by sheltered hedges and woodland 2 miles south of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Easily accessible from the A14.
